My name is Jon Banach, and I am a holistic filmmaker. In every project, I take into consideration all facets of the filmmaking process and how each piece can come together to create something greater than itself. I strive for a consistent, genuine spirit of collaboration that makes this holistic process possible.

I also believe in humanist, empathetic, and cinematic storytelling. It is imperative for each project that I find within it and reveal the human element that lies underneath the facades we put on every day.

Every project must become emotionally rooted to this mission, for it is the seed of empathy of which all artistic intentions flow from and towards. It is our job as filmmakers, as artists, to foster connection and empathy among all those who experience our work.

Doing so creates art that extends beyond ourselves and unto the community at large, making us feel a little bit less alone, and ultimately, a little bit more human.

I have years of experience and enjoy working in all fields of cinematic and commercial storytelling, so you’ll see projects here that I’ve written, directed, and edited, but I am currently focused on pursuing and growing in the fields of
cinematography and directing.
